In this video I explain WYSIWYG. Many traditional coders are against taking advantage of WYSIWYG at all, but when working with others particularly clients, this not only has advantages, but is practical from a business standpoint.

This is not to suggest you shouldn’t also learn HTML and CSS but that you might benefit from understanding visual tools as well. Particularly when time is of the essence.

At it’s core Web Design is about building a Website that has to perform a task. That might me the Website has to sell a product or service or market and idea. Your clients can’t afford for you to be romantic and caught up in your own idea of what Web Design is.

To become a good or great Web Designer, you have to understand actual Design and on some level Marketing. You have to understand what a good website looks like and how to build one. Which means learning to copy and reproduce the best websites out there in order to learn the process.

Many artist will tell you that they learned by drawing what they saw, not using their imagination. Some even learned by tracing to the muscle memory down to be able to draw in that style or make those types of shapes naturally. That is part of the process of the work.

Studying good web design, mimic good web design, deconstruct and analyze good web design, then when you understand, you can execute on good web design from scratch yourself.

The Lifetrak Move C300 is one of my favorite Smartwatch Fitness Trackers. In some ways I’d say this could be better for most people than the Apple Watch sport. It works for both Apple and Android smartphones and can work independently of them and still can give you data in real time on your health and heart rate.

This Smartwatch Fitness Tracker is only $60 and is a great way to help you get into health and it is what helped motivate me to get out of the office and working out a bit more.

In this video I review the Seagate Personal Cloud 6TB Backup System. This is a cloud based backup solution I’m using for archiving my video files and accessing them remotely via the cloud.

I have lot of hard drive solutions I am using but this is a dedicated video bakcup solution for my the video files I use to produce my YouTube channel and my film making projects.

At some point I will do a video where I outline my entire backup architecture and file storage system.

Some of things I really like about the Seagate Personal Cloud is the RAID 1 mirror for secure file storage. It means that 2 hard drives would have to fail for me to lose my files. As long as one hard drive is secure my files will always be there. For video file storage this is a must in my opinion.

This solution not only works with both my Mac and PC but also my mobile devices for iOS and Android.

I just purchased the RODE Video Mic Go as a shotgun mic for my DSLR Camera. Since the making of this video I’ve used it a few times and I’m impressed with the overall sound quality and build quality. the RODE Video Mic Go is easy to use and produces great results for DSLR Audio.

I’m going to give it a 4.5 out 5 Rating because I wish at this price it had one or two extra features like the Rode Video Mic Pro or at least came with a windmuff.
